Kanyi Gachoka obtained his law degree from the University of Nairobi, graduating with Honours in 1990. He obtained a postgraduate diploma in law from the Kenya School of Law and signed the Roll of Advocates in February 1992. Kanyi is an expert in conveyancing and commercial law with over 28 years legal experience. Before joining the firm in 1994, Kanyi worked as an associate at K. Mwaura and Company Advocates where he cut his teeth as a corporate lawyer with a serious bias towards conveyancing, commercial and intellectual property law. Kanyi is a Certified Public Secretary and serves on the board of Directors of over 20 private limited liability companies. Kanyi has served on the Board of Directors of the Retirement Benefits Authority and was the Chairman of the Board appointed for a period of 4 years from 2012. He has in the past served as Chairman of Board of Governors Pumwani Secondary School for a period of 11 years and Chairman of Muthaiga Golf Club.
