The law Firm was established in 1992 by Mr. Kanyi Kimondo trading as Kanyi Kimondo and Company Advocates. In 1994, the law Firm admitted Mr Kanyi Gachoka as a Partner and changed its name to Kimondo, Gachoka & Company Advocates. Hon. Kanyi Kimondo has since retired from the Firm and joined the Judiciary as a Puisne Judge. The Firm also admitted Ms. Irene Wanjiru Mburu as a Partner with effect from 1st January 2013, Mr. Davidson Mwangi Githinji with effect from 1st February 2018 and Mr Atanas Kariuki Maina with effect from 2019.
In June 2008, the firm purchased its present offices situate at Bemuda Plaza, Ngong Road, Nairobi which has greatly enhanced delivery of services to our clients and placed us in close proximity to Nairobi courts and tribunals. Our offices are fully computerised, we have a well-stocked library and broadband internet access which allows our team to be readily available and provide timely and accurate research and advice on any legal issue.
We currently hold a professional indemnity cover of Kenya Shillings Five Hundred Million (Kshs 500,000,000) with AIG Kenya.

The firm has over 26 years’ experience in preparing security documents for banks and other lending institutions including Mortgages, Charges, Debentures and Moveable Property Security Rights. The firm’s other areas of specialization include formation of companies, mergers, acquisitions, legal drafting, commercial agreements and contracts, patents, stock-exchange, conveyancing of property, probate and administration. The firm has a fully-fledged Litigation department supporting our clientele in prosecuting and defending commercial legal actions at the Court of Appeal, High Court, Industrial Court, Magistrate’s Courts and Tribunals including the Business Premises Rent Tribunal and Co-operatives Tribunal.
